National Design-Build Project Awards

CALL FOR ENTRIES:

DBIA invites you to submit your successful design-build project(s) for our 2007 National Design-Build Project Awards, the twelfth year of the competition. Entries must arrive to DBIA National no later than May 31, 2007.

To be considered for a design-build award, projects must demonstrate successful application of design-build principles including collaboration in the early stages of the project and the acceptance of single-entity risk. The project must be completed both on-time and on-budget and without litigation. Winning projects are honored for their advanced and innovative application of total integrated project delivery and finding unique solutions for project challenges.

Project submissions may be awarded a National Design-Build, Design-Build Excellence, or Merit Award in one of 13 categories. To be eligible, projects must have been completed between March 31, 2004 and March 31, 2007.

The 2007 entry fee is $345* for DBIA Members and $645 for Non-Members. Payment must be submitted with the entry and payable to the Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA).

* To receive the DBIA Member rate, you must be an industry partner (organizational member). Individual Memberships do not qualify your firm for the Member rate.

Judging will take place at DBIA National in June 2007 by a jury of industry experts including DBIA Members, Owners, and Design-Builders.

Presentation of the awards will take place during DBIA’s Annual Conference in Grapevine (Dallas), Texas, October 31 - November 2, 2007. You must select ONE person on your design-build team who will accept the award on the team’s behalf – you will be asked to submit this person’s contact information in an online form at a later date. The physical award will be engraved with the project name, category, and the design-builder’s company name ONLY. Additional awards for the Owner, Engineer, Architect, and other members of the team may be purchased after the award ceremony through DBIA.
